As a traveling seamstress, designer, and creative, I bring over 20 years of professional experience and advanced training to your unique project. I have been sewing for most of my life and have worked extensively in the garment industry. I continued sewing during the years I raised my 5 children by making and mending clothes for them.
I believe in a body-positive approach to clothing in the current fast fashion world. If the garment does not fit correctly, it's not your body that’s the problem, it is the clothing. Reframing the language around how clothes fit our bodies is part of the service I provide, guiding you through the fitting process with honesty, empathy, and efficiency. Alterations, done with the proper honest assessment and skill, can allow for your confidence to shine.
Consulting with independent fashion designers, dance and theater companies, as well as a variety of other individuals, brands and groups has earned me expertise that outgrows the "seamstress" title. Services are provided with punctual efficiency and an open and inclusive mindset. I am a four year member of the Association of Sewing and Design Professionals New England Chapter and I uphold the core values of community, professionalism, and quality.
